Project Description

This is a logo design for an up-and-coming writer named Katie Li. She wanted something that visually communicated her profession and celebrated her Asian heritage. Inspired by Chinese brush painting, I came up with the cherry blossom hovering over an open book done in watercolor, with a thin, delicate serif font for the typography so that it wouldn't make the logo design too heavy. This version displayed is for the Web and there is another version for print.
